Mahavir Vardhamana( 599 B.C- 527 B.C) was the most important religious of Jainas Community. Mahavir was against the Yajna and caste. He didn’t accept the authority of Vedas. He strongly favored the equal status of women. He opposed the physical and mental violence. According to him self control and suffering can enable man to overcome the instinct of violence.
The main three fold path ,which is known as “Triratnas” , of Mahavir Vardhamana was
1. Smyak Darshan (Right Belief) : One must have faiths in Mahavir teachings
2. Samyak Darshan:- One must have proper knowledge about the actual nature of the world and also about self.
3. Samyak Charitrya (right conduct): One must observe the fives rules of Jainism.
