Emotions play a major role in human being lives. All of us have emotional and psychological needs which can’t be ignored or over-controlled. Newton’s third law of motion says that there is an equal and opposite reactions of every actions. It also applies to human being lives. For an illustration:- if you are expecting something and you couldn’t achieve that, you will show your reaction on the same time or may be latter and the measurement of your reaction depends upon your controlling power and your activist.
There is an old Chinese saying, “when person prevent their emotions from over taking there rationality, it is called reason. When person prevent their rationality from over taking their emotions, it is called compassion. When person can do both, it is called wisdom.”
Emotions at work place are inevitable. No one can avoid his inner felling and reacting to someone or some incidents. However, matter is how much you are impacting with your emotional feelings, whether your are being dominated by your emotions or you could able to dominate your emotions and act positively.
For an illustration, suppose in an appraisal functions there are 10 guys who could able to achieve there targets and rest 1000 employee’s left from achieving that golden break and got disheartened. If that thousands employee started act negatively and started crying for loosing that options then, what would be the future of the company.
The productivity of a company is directly proportional to its employee performance. If employees are affected by emotional feelings then how can they shows their effectiveness. It’s the duty of manager to handle the situation and act positively. Nervousness, anxiety, discriminations and anger are the negative factors, which stand like an impediment in the path of employee productivity. If you know, how to handle your emotion then you can be a winner in your life and you can be a real salt for your organization. Managers are the leader of the organizations. So, a manager should have the quality to control his emotion first and act positively with the employee to extract the target of the company. Bearing your emotions doesn’t mean that you will act strongly and hardly towards employee performances and quality. It symbolized that, being a manager you should bring the result from your employee pragmatically and logically.
